Erpobdella punctata[edit]

  • ... that the leech Erpobdella punctata sometimes hitches a ride on a salamander? Source: "Erpobdella punctata has also been recorded as a phoront (Khan and Frick, 1997) on salamanders"

  • Article expansion new enough and long enough. Article cited and sourced. Hook sentence is very close in wording to source working though. It should be re-worded to avoid the possible copyvio issues.--Kevmin § 16:52, 10 June 2018 (UTC)
  • @Kevmin: I really don't understand what you mean about the hook resembling the source because I have quoted the source above and they are nothing like each other. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 19:34, 10 June 2018 (UTC)

"This leech has been observed as a phoront on salamanders, the leech being transported to another location and also feeding on food scraps discarded by the salamander."

In the source article the sentence there is:

"Erpobdella punctata has (also) been recorded as a phoront (Khan and Frick, 1997) on salamanders, with the leech feeding on the excess food particles from the salamander’s meal. The two sentences are notably close in wording, with only small wording switches. If you change it around to discuss the feeding, and then the occasional phorodontism, in terms of hitching rides or a similar wording thats pipped to phorodont, that would clear it up.--Kevmin § 19:59, 10 June 2018 (UTC)

@Kevmin: OK, I understand what you mean now. I have rewritten the sentence. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 05:10, 11 June 2018 (UTC)
Article expansion new enough and long enough, hook cited, verified and neutral. Article referenced with no identified policy violations. looks good to go.--Kevmin § 00:25, 12 June 2018 (UTC)
