Joan McCracken[edit]

5x expanded by Coretheapple (talk). Self nominated at 12:58, 8 February 2014 (UTC).

  • Length, date, notability OK. Citation for hook accepted IGF, especially as it is assisted with a clarifying paragraph at end of article. Great article - congratulations. Green tick is for Alt 2; If you want to use Alt 2, it's good to go.--Storye book (talk) 16:17, 8 February 2014 (UTC)
Why thank you! I like your Alt 3. Coretheapple (talk) 17:08, 8 February 2014 (UTC)
  • If you want to go with Alt 1, then I think its wording is a little awkward, and needs tidying up; the content of Alt 1 is fine. If you prefer Alt 3 below, we'll need another reviewer.
  • Alt 3: ... that Broadway actress Joan McCracken was one of the models for Truman Capote's fictional Holly Golightly in his acclaimed novella Breakfast at Tiffany's? --Storye book (talk) 16:17, 8 February 2014 (UTC)
  • I understand that the nominator wants to go with Alt 3, so we need another reviewer, please? --Storye book (talk) 09:09, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
I've checked the ALT3 hook - 164 characters and supported by ref #1 in the lead. There seems to be a problem with the image as it is listed for deletion as a possible copy vio. I have removed (pictured) from the ALT3 hook as it obviously cannot be used. I think it's also preferable for the image to be removed from the article so I can then quickly change the DYK? to a green tick. (I've struck the other hook for clarity as the numbering has gone a bit haywire); accepting AGF Storye book's review of other DYK criteria. SagaciousPhil - Chat 14:27, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
I agree about the photo, and I've deleted it.--Storye book (talk) 16:21, 9 February 2014 (UTC)

For ALT3 hook - image has now been removed from the nomination and the article. SagaciousPhil - Chat 16:35, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
