Article is new enough, long enough, well sourced, neutral, free of copyvio; QPQ done; image is public domain. However, I don't think the proposed hooks are supported by the sources; FN11 says that Marsden may have been discouraged by Wilde's failure, but not that her libel action would have led to "the female/lesbian version of the Oscar Wilde trial". This does need to be explicitly stated by a source, because it's not self-evident (for one thing, if I understand right, Marsden was being accused of fraud, not homosexuality). So, you'll have to come up with another hook. You could try making a broader point that her good works were overshadowed by rumour and controversy (more neutrally stated, of course) — but personally, I think the 18 kilogrammes of Christmas pudding would make for prime hook material. - I'll need some time to look at this. Its tricky. The sources indicate that the original instigator was after her because of her immorality. He went for the lesser? charge of financial improprietray to avoid making too much of a fuss. This is a subtle point as I want to avoid a POV position but the more modern sources indicate that this is what happened. The xmas hook is a nice hook .... but this article got 400 hits yesterday ... and it not been on the main page yet! Happy to receive any help with this one as she is a complex/interesting character. The article does not even mention how this nun changed denominations a couple of times. Victuallers (talk) 15:26, 5 March 2014 (UTC)
- Comment: Pity this is taking so long to sort out. Maybe a more straightforward hook relating to her journey to Siberia would be preferable in order to avoid controversy? But I would avoid saying she found a cure for leprosy. Perhaps something along the lines of:

- Good suggestion Ipigott, I have also tweaked the original hooks. I suspect the subject is so delicate that it would take a book rather than a hook to do it justice. At the time only male homosexuality was discussed and that only rarely. My grandmother was told not to read Oscar Wilde (in the 1920s) but his sins were never explained to my gran.
