Ole W. Grubb

  • ... that former Oregon state representative Ole W. Grubb and his wife had nine children of their own and cared for about 160 foster children?

Source: According to a Bend Bulletin article dated 7 December 1961 (p. 7): "Mr. and Mrs. Grubb … had nine children of their own … About 160 children were given foster care by the Grubbs over the years. Two of them stayed eight years while some were only there for a few days, until emergencies in their families were smoothed out."
