Pedestals of Biahmu
- ... that the Pedestals of Biahmu in Faiyum, Egypt, are known locally by some as Al-Ṣanam, which is Arabic for "the idol"? Source: "[The] two huge pedestals [are] known to the local inhabitants as Es' sanam. or 'the Idol'". (Labib Habachi, "The Monument of Biahmu", 1941, p. 721) and "Al-Ṣanam الصنم 'The Idol'—The Pedestals of Biahmu" (R. Neil Hewison, Fayoum: History and Guide, 2007, p. 77)
- Reviewed: Template:Did you know nominations/Yama Wayama
- Comment: The Arabic term in question is "الصنم", so whatever transliteration is preferred is fine with me.

Thanks for bringing this over from de! Looks good. I added this link to the WikiData item to order to link up the other language wikis. Please let me know if that was in error. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jengod (talk • contribs) 02:31 & 02:41, 5 October 2022 (UTC)
- @Gen. Quon and Jengod: I'm not sure I'd count a footnote as being in the article body as required for DYK; could the relevant prose be moved? theleekycauldron (talk • contribs) (she/her) 22:10, 18 October 2022 (UTC)
- On it. Hold please. jengod (talk) 23:07, 18 October 2022 (UTC)
