Road map
[edit]- ... that the Ancient Egyptians produced one of the first known road maps in c. 1160 BC?
- Comment: Article was formerly about 2000 bytes in size, but most of that was deleted about a year ago on the basis of it being "nonsense": [1]. [2] is the starting point for this expansion.--Father Goose (talk) 19:13, 4 March 2013 (UTC)
5x expanded by Father Goose (talk). Self nominated at 19:13, 4 March 2013 (UTC).
- Date, expansion and hook all OK. Good to go. The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 08:10, 9 March 2013 (UTC)
- The article has an expansion template on it, and every single reference is a bare URL (DYK nominations should not be approved if there are any bare URLs). This is not yet ready for the main page. BlueMoonset (talk) 03:08, 11 March 2013 (UTC)
- I'm going to be away for the next week or so; I'll have to resolve these issues when I return.--Father Goose (talk) 04:31, 11 March 2013 (UTC)
- Nevermind. I ran reflinks and removed the expansion template.--Father Goose (talk) 04:49, 11 March 2013 (UTC)
- I apologize for not looking more thoroughly at the time I posted the above, and for again being the bearer of bad tidings: the rule of thumb for DYK articles is that there be one inline source citation per paragraph in the article's body. This article is far from that level of sourcing. Three of the paragraphs in History are uncited, the Type section is completely unsourced, and Common features has a single citation in three paragraphs. These will indeed need to be resolved upon your return. BlueMoonset (talk) 05:28, 11 March 2013 (UTC)
