- ALT 8:
- ... that Cheers was renewed for the next season before the finale of the first season aired, despite low Nielsen ratings?
- ... that the first season of Cheers won five Emmy Awards, including an Outstanding Comedy Series, three days before the second season premiered?
Just in case. --George Ho (talk) 23:27, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
- ALT 11:
- ... that, before the the first season premiered, Norm Peterson and Cliff Clavin were not original Cheers characters?
- ... that the bartender and the waitress make embrace in the Boston bar's office and the waitress's apartment?
Boy, doing all three are not that easy. --George Ho (talk) 10:50, 20 July 2012 (UTC)
I avoided reviewing this earlier because of the sheer number of alts. This review is based on ALT1. No other alts were reviewed.
- ALT1:... that the Nielsen ratings of Cheers improved during summer between finale of the first season and the second season premiere?
- All three new enough and long enough at the time of nomination. (Or rather, I will IAR. Season1 was THREE WEEKS before nomination.) Showdown (Cheers) is fully supported by sources. Images not mentioned all have fair use rational or acceptable copyrights. Hooked fact appears in an article. Nielsen information appears in other articles. Nielsen information is all cited. Hook is supported by article text and cites.
- Offline sources support text and not plagiarised.
- Cheers (season 1) is not fully supported by sources per MOS. Ditto Power Play (Cheers). File:Cheers cast with George Wendt.jpeg asks for a smaller version to replace it. --LauraHale (talk) 21:15, 28 July 2012 (UTC)
- True, season one was three weeks before nom. However, you might have missed this: moved into mainspace on July 20; does it count? --George Ho (talk) 22:11, 28 July 2012 (UTC)
Fix fact tags. Fix image. --LauraHale (talk) 21:15, 28 July 2012 (UTC)
- I can't fix the image without ruining the image or the blemishes. I tested the image after shrinking 50% with poor results. Therefore, I would leave things up to the bot. However, I've fixed "fact tags" in Cheers (season 1). --George Ho (talk) 21:39, 28 July 2012 (UTC)
- Power Play is fixed, I hope. By the way, let's have promoter decide which hook to use. --George Ho (talk) 22:03, 28 July 2012 (UTC)
Copyright not my strong suit. Will let image go under rationale. It can be removed from article if it is a problem. Citations added. Good to go with ALT1. --LauraHale (talk) 00:42, 29 July 2012 (UTC)
