- Whilst this article is technically just long enough (1544 B of readable prose), I consider it still a stub. And we don't run stubs on DYK. You'd need to expand the article and give it some structure (e.g. headings and a lead). Schwede66 23:00, 7 January 2024 (UTC)

- Neutral: - I'm concerned about the word "dumping", both in the text and the article title. Yes, when it's deliberately done, then it's dumping. But it's a loaded term in the context of an overflow during a storm event. The Guardian, for example, use "discharge", which I suggest is more neutral. For that reason, I've struck ALT0.
- Free of copyright violations, plagiarism, and close paraphrasing: - no; please write "In 2022, a proposed House of Lords amendment to the Environment Bill would have forced water companies" in your own words
