  • The hook seems uncontroversial, but it is not directly cited, and the source at the end of the paragraph does not really support the claim. (for instance, how does a reader know for certain there was no general election in January 1975?) Otherwise the article is eligible for DYK. New enough, long enough, neutral, well cited, no paraphrasing or other copyright concerns. I hope a source directly supporting the hook can be found, because I thought it highly interesting. 78.26 (spin me / revolutions) 14:20, 17 October 2014 (UTC)
  • So far, I am unable to find a direction citation. However, according to the sources, the first assembly of Sikkim (state) was same as the last assembly of Sikkim (country) which was based upon the result of 1974 election. This naturally mean that no general elections were held in time period between 1974 election and its merger with India. If this is not convincing, then I will propose a new hook. --Vigyanitalkਯੋਗਦਾਨ 15:11, 2 November 2014 (UTC)
  • I have got a direct reference and have added it in the article. See source[1], 2nd para, 1st line to confirm (if you have JSTOR access).
  • The citation concern was on a technicality, which has now been alleviated. Offline citation accepted AGF. Not noted before, but every paragraph has at least one citation. This is ready for mainspace. 78.26 (spin me / revolutions) 16:47, 3 November 2014 (UTC)
