Smiley (alligator)[edit]

Smiley as a cast (in 2011)

  • ... that Smiley (pictured) was an American alligator (Alligator mississippiensis) that lived in captivity at the Maritime Museum in Gothenburg?

  • Allow me to suggest ALT2: ... that Smiley (pictured) received a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records as the oldest alligator in captivity? I would review the nomination, but I believe I might be considered to be a bit too involved after my recent copyediting of the article. G S Palmer (talkcontribs) 00:09, 26 October 2014 (UTC)
OK I found the ref for hooks and its reliable. Lots of refs in this shorter article and no paraphrasing spotted. Picture is OK but looks better if squared up for main page - which I did. Alt2 is better as the age of the alligator in alt1 may take away a good reason to click on it. (besides which dead alligators are not "oldest living") Thanks Victuallers (talk) 11:22, 31 October 2014 (UTC)
I hope the image is used. Who can say no to such a cute alligator ;)--BabbaQ (talk) 00:07, 1 November 2014 (UTC)
