Overall: According to Earwig's Copyvio Detector, there are three results over 15% likely of copyvio, but in case, the text in question is a proper noun or title, which does not constitute a violation. ALT2 and ALT3 approved. We many need to delink heart–lung transplant if it remains with maintenance tags. Flibirigit (talk) 14:43, 22 July 2018 (UTC)
I am looking into the hooks in more details to verify cites, and other options.Flibirigit (talk) 18:15, 21 July 2018 (UTC)
- Hooks are cited as per "Wolf, Leslie (7 April 1989)" and "Valentine, Vincent (2017)". ALT0 might be too simple, as many readers may not know the context of whether 500 is a lot. ALT1 seems fine to me, but could be too wordy for the average reader on the main page. @Whispyhistory: @Philafrenzy:, do you have any other suggestions? Flibirigit (talk) 18:26, 21 July 2018 (UTC)
- I think most people will understand that 500 heart transplants is a great deal. It can't be a common operation even now. I suspect most of the alts are going to be too technical also but perhaps Whispyhistory has some ideas. Philafrenzy (talk) 20:25, 21 July 2018 (UTC)
- I agree that ALT0 is not a bad hook, but I was hoping to improve it somehow. Going back to the original source, it says "Jamieson has performed about 500 heart transplants and more than 50 heart-lung transplants." That leads me to suggest ALT2 = ...
that Stuart W. Jamieson has performed about 500 heart transplants, and more than 50 heart–lung transplants? It sounds a bit more robust, but then "Heart–lung transplant" has maintenance issues on the article. Flibirigit (talk) 20:50, 21 July 2018 (UTC)- Thanks @Flibirigit: and @Philafrenzy:. I would prefer a hook based on pulmonary thromboendarterectomy, otherwise maybe

- ALT2 :... that by 1989, Stuart W. Jamieson had performed around 500 heart transplants and more than 50 heart–lung transplants?
- ALT3 ...that Stuart W. Jamieson pioneered pulmonary thromboendarterectomy? Whispyhistory (talk) 21:24, 21 July 2018 (UTC)
- "thromboendarterectomy" is a good word, for its length alone. Philafrenzy (talk) 21:54, 21 July 2018 (UTC)
- I'm fine with the revised ALT2. Which citation is it that mentions a being a pioneer of pulmonary thromboendarterectomy? Flibirigit (talk) 22:45, 21 July 2018 (UTC)
- Slightly off-topic, would either of you be able to do a quick clean up at heart–lung transplant? Flibirigit (talk) 22:45, 21 July 2018 (UTC)
- Sure @Flibirigit: and thank you for attention to detail. I'll re-read and get back. I've added evidence for Jamieson pioneering pulmonary thromboendarterectomy [1]
- Great thanks, looks like we're good to go. Flibirigit (talk) 14:43, 22 July 2018 (UTC)
