Terra Invicta
- ... that Terra Invicta is the first independent video game created by the volunteers who developed the video game mod Long War for XCOM: Enemy Unknown? Source: "The modders behind brilliant XCOM mods Long War and Long War 2 (opens in new tab)—which Tom called "a must-play reinvention of XCOM 2 (opens in new tab)"—formed their own studio in 2015 (opens in new tab) and announced their first full game: Terra Invicta." - Comment: There's some alternate takes in the development section which I think could be used if needed.

- This is more of a comment rather than a full review for now, but perhaps alternate hooks can be suggested here? I'm not sure if this hook would be interesting to anyone unfamiliar with XCOM. It might also be possible to propose separate hooks for each article if no other combined hook direction is possible. Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 04:55, 29 October 2022 (UTC)
- @Narutolovehinata5: Ack!! This is just a *horrifying* typo -- Long War shouldn't be bolded in this and isn't one of the articles I'm nominating. There has to be a better way to phrase this hook though, I think you're right -- I was just struggling with sticking with C6 which requires it to follow the real world in some way. Maybe:
- ALT1: ... that Terra Invicta's development company is a group of former volunteer video game modders that decided to release their own game after the success of their mod? "While working towards Long War 1.0, Lumpkin had also begun flirting with the idea of creating his own game—Terra Invicta: another alien invasion-inspired game on a strategic level, that he planned to crowdfund down the line." [2]
- ALT2: ... that the developers of Terra Invicta used to work together as volunteer video game modders? "By early 2015, the Long War team had grown to a small core group of four, as well as four senior contributors [...]" [3]
- Let me know if you have thoughts on how we might make this a bit better -- I'm a little too close to the source material in that I was an obsessive XCOM fan, so I find the story fascinating ha. Nomader (talk) 05:09, 29 October 2022 (UTC)

- Yeah I think ALT2 is a good alternative. Or we could also do some variant of ALT1 but without the mention of Long War. Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 05:12, 29 October 2022 (UTC)
- @Narutolovehinata5: I'm good with ALT2 -- I think it's the hook boiled down to its essence. I also just cut the "Long War" mention from ALT1 as well here. Nomader (talk) 13:17, 1 November 2022 (UTC)

- Okay, I guess I can now give this a full review. So I didn't find any article issues or close paraphrasing and a QPQ has been done. I was able to verify the hook in the sources provided. Either ALT1 or ALT2 are acceptable, I'll leave it to the promoter as what to use. Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 14:14, 5 November 2022 (UTC)
