Alexandra Burke

  • ... that the inspiration for Alexandra Burke's (pictured) song "The Silence" came from how Burke's Aunt was experiencing relationship troubles; that she and her partner were not discussing how they felt, and thus let the silence do the talking.

  • The DYK check tool states: "Article has not been created or expanded 5x within the past 10 days". 5x expansion is required for DYK. A lack of information on the song is not DYK's problem, it's yours. — Statυs (talk) 21:46, 1 June 2012 (UTC)
    What???? I'm not saying it's anyones problem Status, I said that if it is still not 5x expanded, then I can't add anymore info. I am simply notifying the reviewer that there is no other info I can expand with to make it 5x. I don't know how to check how much an article has expanded by.     Let me just expand my thought, so you don't mistake what I'm saying as being rude to you. The comment before yours talks about how it has not been expanded 5x, while you responded saying you could not get any more info for it. I read that as an excuse, so thus my response: "A lack of information on the song is not DYK's problem, it's yours." — Statυs (talk) 22:27, 1 June 2012 (UTC)
    It's not an excuse. I was simply notifying the reviewer that if it is still not 5x expanded, then I can't expand it any more with other information as there isn't anyway. In essence, if it's not 5x expanded, reject the hook. Aaron • You Da One 22:36, 1 June 2012 (UTC)
  • (edit conflict) That's certainly how I took it when I saw your original post. Appreciate you letting us know that there wasn't a way to reasonably expand the article; another writer did the same thing in another nomination when she realized she'd have to expand another 9000 characters beyond the 6500 already written.
