Troll cat
[edit]- ... that Scandinavian witches reputedly made troll cats from wood shavings and blood, and made them come alive with an invocation to Satan?

- Spooky balls... This article is new enough, and long enough. no copyvio found. AGF on offline sources. Cheers, ☯ Bonkers The Clown \(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 09:36, 14 September 2013 (UTC)
- I would throw in a "supposedly", "allegedly", or some such qualifier. I recommend saving this for Halloween. Special occasion hooks can be saved for about six weeks; this would be a tiny bit longer, but we don't tend to get enough good Halloween hooks, so I think a little leeway is called for. - "Allegedly"? Fo shizzle? Mandarax, this stuff is real--unlike your art, which is all made up. But if you must, I vote for "reputedly". Drmies (talk) 03:22, 15 September 2013 (UTC)
- Not to be a buzzkill here, but adding "in Scandinavian folklore" to a hook is a substantive change that requires a further check of the article to make sure it not only mentions Scandinavian folklore (a fact not previously in the hook), but that there's an inline source that confirms it by the end of the relevant sentence. Bonkers will need to check those both before reiterating the tick. BlueMoonset (talk) 00:26, 16 September 2013 (UTC)
- I thought that, given what the hook says, the "folklore" part was pretty self-evident. In the interest of simplicity, I've restored the original, approved hook, merely adding "reputedly" per Drmies' suggestion. That certainly doesn't require any further verification. - Restoring original tick to original (plus "reputedly") hook. You might want to consider changing the first "made" to "formed" or "created", so the word isn't used twice in fairly close succession. BlueMoonset (talk) 00:50, 17 September 2013 (UTC)
- Note to promoter: the resulting hook, with the minor edits suggested above, would be:
