WOBG (AM)

  • ... that in 1939, alert workers saved equipment at West Virginia radio station WBLK from a devastating fire, allowing the station to return to air within 45 minutes to report the blaze? Source (page 36), source 2 to justify "devastating"

General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems

Hook eligibility:

  • Cited: Yes
  • Interesting: Yes
  • Other problems: No - I think the hook could be shortened a bit by removing a bit. Perhaps "... that equipment for radio station WBLK was saved from a devastating fire and used to return to air within 45 minutes?"
QPQ: Done.
Overall: Looks good to go, but I would like to see the hook shortened. Not going to hold it back over this, though. SounderBruce 04:57, 1 October 2019 (UTC)
