  • ... that in 1877, the Wellington County House of Industry and Refuge spent less than 76 cents per week on the care of each resident? Source: Montigny (1997), p. 93: "Reports of efficiently run institutions saving municipalities money met with interest. In 1877, for example, a debate occurred in Ontario County concerning the benefits of institutional relief for the poor after it was reported that the Wellington County House of Industry cared for its inmates for less than seventy-six cents a week each."

Article is long enough and new enough; no sourcing, copyright, or content issues were found. Both hooks meet length and format criterion. Source for first hook is good as highlighted in nomination. Source for ALT1 hook identified in nomination is off-line and can be taken in good faith; however, I corroborated hook fact with on-line info in Ref 7…so both hooks have been verified with on-line sources. I think first hook is more interesting, so I recommend using it on DYK page. QPQ is done. Image is original work of Wikipedia editor who has release it under appropriate license so there are no copyright restrictions; rollover tag is good.--Orygun (talk) 00:10, 1 September 2019 (UTC)
