Problem[edit]

Does anyone know how to fix the "suspects" parameter? I'm adding text but it's not showing up. SlimVirgin TALK contribs 00:16, 12 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think I've worked it out. SlimVirgin TALK contribs 01:01, 12 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Pushpin map[edit]

Ever thought about copying the pushpin map/Template:Location map features used on Template:Infobox settlement and other similar infoboxes? Zzyzx11 (talk) 05:11, 12 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Otherwise, one can just put {{Location map}} in the notes parameter. Zzyzx11 (talk) 05:26, 12 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Template:Infobox paranormal event requires this pushpin map also, and does not currently have a notes parameter. JMK (talk) 16:53, 30 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Longer term events[edit]

Hello, I have been helping with the 2010 Copiapó mining accident article and the info box does not seem to have fields to support longer, multi-day/month disasters. Do you have any suggestions? Also, does the box support secondary or tertiary locations for out of the way incidents where we can note the larger towns/cities nearby? Thanks and cheers, Veriss (talk) 22:04, 23 October 2010 (UTC) Found it does. Veriss (talk) 23:45, 27 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"casualties" vs "deaths" and "injuries"[edit]

While working at Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire, I noticed that this template has both a set of numbered casualtiesN= fields (which are not documented) and also distinct reported death(s)= and reported injuries= fields (which are documented). I initially saw use of the generic ones, with each template-value stating the type of casualty being reported (deaths vs injuried), but then found the specific fields and switched to them. But the generic ones are rendered in full-width "Casualties" section of the infobox, whereas the latter are just named fields not in a subsection. A separate display section looks nice but so does the clearly tagged data in the display, and the clearly named template paramaters is more sensible for editors and easier to parse by machines. Do we really need the casualtiesN fields (are there other options besides numbers of dead and injured)? Should the reported deaths/injuries be in the same display section? Death(s)[edit]

I've changed it to "Deaths" because it looked silly, partly because it's been singled out ("Participants" and "Injuries" didn't have it), and partly as a computer program (including MediaWiki) is perfectly capable of automatically emitting the singular or plural form of a noun as required.

It seems to me that one would tend to still write "Deaths: 1" rather than "Death: 1". But still, if there's a consensus that this should be in the singular if there's only one, we can use {{plural}} to do this. — Smjg (talk) 20:02, 2 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Accused[edit]

Why is there no parameter for Accused while there is one for suspect(s). Accused and Suspects are different. --sarvajna (talk) 14:33, 28 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is in relation to the Talk:2012 Delhi gang rape case article. TheOriginalSoni (talk) 15:40, 28 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
