The Power to Believe is an album by the band King Crimson released in 2003, a companion to the preceding mini-album Happy With What You Have to Be Happy With (2002).

  • Alternative versions of "Eyes Wide Open," "The Power to Believe II" and "Happy With What You Have to Be Happy With" can be found on the Happy With What You Have to Be Happy With EP.
  • In some ways the album is a nod to the band's past work (Fripp has referred to it as "the culmination of three years of Crimsonising"). "Level Five" has a familial resemblance to the "Larks' Tongues in Aspic" songs (most obviously in the opening chord progression as well as its overall structure). "The Power to Believe" parts III and IV are another version of "The Deception of the Thrush," a piece the members had been developing as a live improvisation during the ProjeKcts phase as well as Crimson shows from 00-03; part III is the first version the band recorded in the studio, and part IV is an extract of one of Fripp's Soundscapes dating from 1997. The lyrics for the "Power to Believe" tracks were also taken from Adrian Belew's song "All Her Love Is Mine" from his solo album Op Zop Too Wah (1996).
