Thippavarappadu is a village in Gudur mandal in Nellore district in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census, Thippavarappadu had a population of 2,616. Males constitute 49% of the population and females 51%.

Geography

Thippavarappadu is largely depends on agriculture, 2300+ acres of good agricultural fields surround by it, which make this place better than the villages around it. The major crops grown here includes Paddy, Casuarina (Souka, Savukku, Jangli saru, Chavukku), Sugarcane, Lemon and Mango. Main water source for agriculture is ground water, and also 700 acres water reservoir shared with Chennur. As of 2012 80% of the farmers are depending on Casuarina plantations.

Transport

Thippavarappadu is accessible by road. It is located 10 km from National Highway 5. This reduced the travel time to Chennai, Nellore and Tirupati. Gudur is a nearest railway junction to Thippavarappadu, located between Chennai and Vijayawada, Connects Tirupathi.

Language

Telugu is the language of the land. Hindhi, and English also known to 40% of the population.
