Amanda Lear recorded a cover of "Torneró" for her 1995 album Alter Ego. It replaced the original Italian lyrics with English words, written by Lear and Helmuth Schmidt.[5] The song was included on the 1998 album Back in Your Arms, which was mostly a collection of re-recorded hits plus some Alter Ego tracks, and later released as a promotional single.

In 2005, Lear recorded "I'll Miss You" again, this time with German-Spanish singer Manuel Sanchez, for his album Ambitious. That version, more up-tempo and dance-oriented, was later included on Lear's 2005 compilation Amanda Lear Sings Evergreens, billed as the "Love Version".
