Triple H (Korean: 트리플 H) is a trio formed by Cube Entertainment in 2017, composed of singer Hyuna and Pentagon members Hui and E'Dawn. They released their first extended play 199X on May 1, 2017.

Members

  • Hyuna (Korean: 현아) was born Kim Hyun-ah (Korean: 김현아) on (1992-06-06) June 6, 1992 (age 32) in Sudogwon, South Korea.
  • Hui (Korean: 후이) was born Lee Hoe-taek (Korean: 이회택) on (1993-08-28) August 28, 1993 (age 31) in Gwacheon, South Korea.
  • E'Dawn (Korean: 이던) was born Kim Hyo-jong (Korean: 김효종) on (1994-06-01) June 1, 1994 (age 30) in South Jeolla Province, South Korea.

Career

2017: Formation and debut with 199X

In March 2017, Cube Entertainment announced that Hyuna had formed a new sub-unit with labelmates, set to debut in May. [1] On April 4, Cube Entertainment announced that Hui and E'Dawn from Pentagon were the other members of the sub-unit, named "Triple H".[2][3] On the same day, Cube TV revealed a new reality TV program called "Triple H Fun Agency".[4][5]Hyuna was picked as the leader as she won the rock-paper-scissors contest.

On April 12, Cube Entertainment revealed the first concept teaser image for the group.[6] On April 27, an audio snippet was revealed.[7] On the subsequent three days, Cube Entertainment revealed "365 Fresh" music video teasers of Hyuna, Hui, and E'Dawn, respectively.[8][9][10]

On May 1, their first extended play 199X was released, along with the single "365 Fresh" and its music video.
