Dr. Kuiljeit Uppaal is an Indian image scientist, educationist, creative director, entrepreneur, author and aviator.[1]

Biography[edit]

Born to an Indian Air Force officer in New Delhi, Dr. Kuiljeit Uppaal indulged in multiple areas through her childhood, ranging from music, dance and sports to other creative pursuits, apart from academics. Described as "always an over-achiever,"[2] she traversed various industries during her professional journey — including research, training and development, curriculum and content development, education, image management, information technology, as well as advertising and media. She also has expertise in psychometrics, neuro-linguistic programming, colour psychology, colour analysis and creative movement therapy.[3]

For her outstanding advances in the science of Persona and Image Management (PRIM) field, and other contributions, the scientist was announced as the recipient of Genius Polymath at the 5th Genius Indian Achievers Awards, 2019 organized by the Genius Foundation.[4]

She is a global speaker who has spoken at many platforms including Women Economic Forum (WEF) and Creative Women International Conference. She is the National President – Life Skills for the Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WICCI).[5][6]

Breakthrough, an all-women book co-authored by her, was published in 2018. The book became Amazon's best-seller and has been used in corporate houses and organizations as a motivational book for professionals and aspirants.[2][7] Her book in her subject is called Prim & Powerful, slated for release in 2020.

Personal life[edit]

Dr. Kuiljeit often spends time educating poor children while teaching good values to them, as well as teaching them to live a life of self-respect and staying away from begging.[2]

Accolades[edit]

Dr. Kuiljeit has been felicitated with many prestigious awards and accolades, such as: the Shiksha Bharati Award by the Indian Achievers Forum in 2020; the Rex Karmaveer Chakra Award by the United Nations and iCongo in 2019; the Inspirational Educator Award for Innovation at the World Education Awards in 2018; the National Award for Innovative Concept and the Naari Udyamita Puraskar 2018 by the MSME Ministry and WEA; and Exceptional Woman of Excellence by the Global Women Economic Forum. She was also awarded the Inorbit Woman Achiever Award of Inspiration in 2016 for inspiring and making a positive difference to women and the youth of the nation, as well as received the Crest of Honour Pride 2013 by Bharati Vidyapeeth University and the IMED for invaluable contribution to the Indian economy, and the Women Achiever Award in 2012 for enterprise and remarkable performance in the world of education, by the JSPM Group of Institutes. Other accolades include the Global Iconic Woman Leader Creating a Better World Award at WEF in 2016.[1]

On October 7, 2017, Dr. Kuiljeit Uppaal became the World's First Image Scientist in the Bharat Book of World Records. This record was followed by the Indian scientist being inducted into the Asia Book of Records, India Book of Records as well as World Records India as the World's First Image Scientist.[1][8]
