The 2023 Philippine KOL Summer Brawl, commonly referred to as the Philippine KOL Summer Brawl Season 1 and PKSB S1, was the first edition of the Philippine KOL Summer Brawl, an Esports tournament for the mobile game Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.

the Philippine KOL Summer Brawl is the first edition of the games to be held in the Philippines.

Venue[edit]

The Philippine KOL Summer Brawl was announced is only to be held in Metro Manila.

SM Mall of Asia, venue for the Semifinals & Grand Finals on August 10th

Alongside Moonton, the country's Mineski Philippines will organize the event. Online Event was host the group stage of PKSB S1. On the other hand, the semifinals, exhibition match and grand finals is to be held at the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay. The redeem codes of free summer skins for the event was started on August 10.

Format[edit]

Group stage: August 5–8, 2023

  • 16 teams qualified for the event are split into four groups of 4 teams each.
  • All matches in the group stage are played in a Bo1 series.
  • The top one team per group qualified for the Semifinals.
  • The two teams per group qualified for the Tiebreaker Match.

Exhibition Match, Semifinals & Grand Finals: August 10, 2023

  • Four teams play in a double-elimination tournament.
  • Seven teams begin in the Semifinals & Exhibition Match.
  • The Grand Finals will be a Bo3 series between the Semifinalist.

Group Stage[edit]

The group stages started on August 5 and conclude on August 8. All games in the group stage will be in a Bo1 format. There will be 2-3 teams are eliminated at the end of group stages, but the two teams in each group shall be qualified for the tiebreaker match, while the tiebreaker shall be qualified for the Semifinals.

Tiebreaker[edit]

A three-way tie emerged between Team Chrissy and Team SUKARAP each having a 2–1 win-loss standing. With this, three additional tiebreaker games were played after the final group stage game was held to determine the teams that will make the semifinals. These tiebreaker matches were counted in the standings as per stage.
