Gluttony or greedily eating is seen as one of the elements of vices, often portrayed in different forms of Meitei culture, including but not limited to Meitei folklore, Meitei literature, Meitei mythology, Meitei folktales, etc. Gluttonous characters are often shown ending in ruination.
