Dong Sicheng (Chinese Simplified: 董思成; born on October 28th, 1997) better known as his stage name WinWin, is a Chinese singer and dancer from Wenzhou, China. He is a member of the South Korean boy group NCT under SM Entertainment. In 2016, he debuted in NCT 127. Then in 2019, he debuted in the Chinese-based unit WayV. He established his own studio in China in 2021.
Early life
[edit]WinWin was born on October 28th, 1997 in Lucheng District, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province. He has an older sister who lives in New Zealand.
As a child, WinWin had to leave his home in order to attend school in Beijing. In 2009, he was accepted into the Beijing Dance Academy ranking 1st. He was scouted out by SM Entertainment during his freshman year and moved to South Korea for training. After a month he returned home in order to focus on his studies. In 2015, he ranked 1st in the dance performance program at Beijing Dance Academy, 10th at the Central Academy of Drama, and 7th at Communication University of China. He enrolled in the Central Academy of Drama [2]. During his freshman year of college, he decided to join SM Entertainment as a trainee [3].
Career
[edit]On January 5th, 2016, WinWin was announced in the group SM Rookies. Before officially debuting in NCT, he appeared in multiple group activities. On April 9th, he accompanied NCT U attending the Music Billboard Ceremony and participated in the performance of "The 7th Sense" [4]. He acted in the NCT U music video for the single "Without You". On May 9th, he starred in the NCT variety show "NCT Life in Seoul".
On July 3rd, 2016, WinWin was announced as a member of NCT's Seoul-based team NCT 127. On July 7th, NCT 127 released their first mini album "NCT #127" with the lead track "Fire Truck" [5]. On November 23, 2018, it was announced that WinWin would not participate with NCT 127 due to his upcoming debut with NCT's China-based team [6].
On January 17, 2019, WinWin debuted as a member of WayV. They released their first digital album "The Vision" [7]. In March, he appeared on the reality show "Our Master" [8]on Hunan TV as a regular guest where he and other guests sang the theme song for the program.
On September 30th, 2021, SM Entertainment announced that WinWin had established his own studio in China to handle his performing arts activities while continuing with WayV [9]. On October 25th, filming began for the fantasy web drama "The Shadow" where he played the role of the playwright William [10]. On June 28th, 2022, filming began for the web drama "25 Hours of Love" where he played the male lead Yan Yue.
