Workz Group is a telecommunication company that is headquartered in Dubai, UAE. The company offers managed mobile service solutions to mobile network operators, mobile virtual network operators, device manufacturers and other service providers.


The company produces eSIM chips,[2][3] SIM cards, scratch cards, and packaging.[4][5] Workz consolidated all its operation in 2014 to one location in Dubai Production City.


Workz Group is also a member of FIATA and is registered as a licensed freight forwarder under the name of Workz Cargo LLC.


It is also certified by ISO for ISO 9001 Quality Management, ISO 27001 Information Security, ISO 14001 Environmental Management, and is a GSMA SAS Accredited Supplier.

Workz Group was founded in 1997 and originally registered as Workz Middle East at Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA), Dubai. It is a privately-owned company founded and run by American, Brad Taylor and Swede, Tor Malmros.

Workz Middle East acquired Brightpoint Middle East[6] NASDAQ: Cell) operations in 2005 including their telecoms retail operation FONO and Brightpoint Jordan.


FONO was a Nokia handset distributor that operated thirty-two telecom retail shops in seven Middle East countries.


Workz divested Brightpoint Middle East operations and FONO in 2006. Fono was later bought by Axiom. Workz Group of companies consists of Workz Media FZ LLC and Workz Cargo LLC.


In April 2015, Workz joined the GSMA to become a member of the global mobile communications industry body and its Dubai manufacturing facility was subsequently certified under the GSMA Security Accreditation Scheme in September 2017.[7]
