From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hi, my name is Carol. I am an information junkie. (Hi, Carol.)

  • I've been editing Wikipedia entries since 2006. I'm still learning & working out the intricacies of Wikipedia participation; I find the whole process extremely gratifying. I'm always seeking to become more involved with the Wikipedia community (hence this page, finally, after remaining anonymous until May 2010).
  • I like keeping a low profile (when I'm not floridly parading myself before millions of people on the Internet).
  • I like noticing and correcting minute grammatical, factual, and statistical errors.
  • I enjoy spontaneous road trips, live concerts, and dancing in faraway places (which, at times, include the inside of my mind).
  • My username, Memory Palace, is a mnemonic device that uses the spatial relationships of objects (physical, mental, digital, etc.), to establish, order, and recollect, past, present, and/or future phenomena. I first heard it used in the context of a rhetorical commentary on the future of cyberspace, loosely connected to the short literary work of the same name, in the 2000 documentary about my favorite author, William Gibson, called No Maps for These Territories.
My primary interests include:
