Over the years, this service has been published to about 6,000 sources, including official Iraqi websites. Hatha al-Youm provides a service where news is published on a priority basis using modern and secure technologies. Although it is a free service, the site provides consulting services to subscribers. Hatha al-Youm is responsive to all screens and is compatible with all browsers.

Ranking[edit]

Hatha al-Youm is one of the most visited sites in Iraq, especially during the fight against ISIS in 2014. Additionally, the site generally receives over one million users a month and more than 50 million views per month. Hatha al-Youm has about two million pages indexed with the Google search engine.

[edit]

Hatha al-Youm earns revenue from many free users through advertising, and visible ads are displayed on all web pages of the site. Hatha al-Youm did not receive any revenue from the Iraqi parliamentary election, 2018 announcements. The last amount the site received was in exchange for an election announcement by late Iraqi National Congress leader Ahmad Chalabi in 2014.

Subscription service[edit]

Hatha al-Youm's second source of income comes from advertising services that provide a third-party site like Google and other text advertising companies.

Controversy[edit]

Some website owners believe that Hatha al-Youm sometimes manipulates their news on their site by changing titles, changing vocabulary or deleting some news, at the request of influential political parties, especially in Baghdad. Some sites have decided to cancel the service with Hatha al-Youm, and many of them claim the site would not have been successful had they not participated indirectly.
