Ethnographic classification

Jhatialجهتيال is a seraiki tribe living in th upper Sindh in the districts Larkana, Dadu, Ghotki in Punjab district Multan, Ahmedpur Sial, Muzaffar Garh mainly. The origin of these people has still to be worked out but they probably are among the ancient dwellers of the region. The language that they use is Serraiki but their dialects vary with the territory they are found in. There are many villages having Jhatial as their predominant inhabitants like Bahu Jhatial, Khairo Jhtial. Moreover now jhatial people are highly educated and are at higher posts in Government. Most of the people are farmers and related to Agricultural Growth.
Popular culture
[edit]Qurban Jhatial is a famous poet and literati belonging to the cast and he hailed from district Dadu.

Many Jhtial are striving for hard work and this tribe is now at growth phase as many people are shifting their attentions from Agricultural base to Education base . It is expected that in next twenty years jhatial people will play their prominent role in development of Pakistan
