Career[edit]

King Myers released his first official single titled "Summertime" with fellow Long Island rapper, Reek da Villian during summer of 2011. The song was produced by The Superiors, a father/son production duo also from Long Island.[1] In September 2012, he released a single titled "This Thing Called Life" with hip-hop legend Rakim, who is also originally from Long Island, New York[2] In September 2014, he was featured on a song called "Lakers" by Grammy Award winning artist Young Thug. The song also featured OG Boo Dirty.[3]In October 2016, King Myers released a single titled "I Need" which was produced by Erick Sermon, who is one half of the legendary Long Island hip-hop duo, EPMD.[4] In November 2016, he was interviewed by MTV Base (Africa) about his life and career as a hip-hop artist.[5]He continues releasing music and collaborating with major hip-hop artists by releasing a single titled "Do What I Do" which features Def Jam Recordings artist Dave East in September 2017.[6]

In November 2018, King Myers partnered with Bill DeWitt III's wife, Ira DeWitt, to release his new mixtape "MK Ultra, Vol. 1" via her record label, Notifi Records, an urban contemporary record label whose roster includes Ginuwine and Johnny Gill.[7]Through the partnership, they released music videos for multiple songs from the mixtape, including "Time" which was produced by Bill and Ira's son, William DeWitt, as well as "Stuck In My Ways" and "Believe" which was produced by Grammy Award winning producer, Blac Elvis.[8]

In December 2019, King Myers released his new and current single, "Under The Bus", which has been receiving heavy radio play from DJ Wonder and DJ Whoo Kidon Eminem's Sirius XM radio channel, Shade 45.[9]

Controversy[edit]

On July 11, 2016, King Myers released a single called "AmeriKKKa" about police brutality.[10] Nearly two weeks following the single's release, the New York Daily News reported on July 22, 2016, that King Myers was involved in a traffic stop in Wyandanch, New York which resulted in him being let go after he rapped a verse from "AmeriKKKa".[11]

In February 2017, King Myers was mentioned in an article by CNN about Kanye West deleting all of his tweets defending his meeting of President Donald Trump because Myers released a single titled "Propaganda" which credited Kanye as the producer of the song. On "Propaganda", King Myers calls for the impeachment of President Trump, and also voices that he stands in solidarity with refugees, immigrants and Muslims.[12] On February 7, 2017, TMZ reported that Kanye West denied being the producer of King Myers' "Propaganda".[13]
