Indian metro ridership[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Yak79 2.0. Your recent edit to the page List of metro systems appears to have added incorrect information, so it has been removed.

  • As for Kolkata: in India fiscal years end on March, 31 of the correlative calendar year, hence FY2018 (or better FY2107-2018) ended on 31 March - see what wrote about it the Indian Economic Service (IES) or also this example (since they presented the annual results for FY18 on May, 30, obviously by then that fiscal year had already ended).
  • As for Mumbai: as it's said in the provided reference [1], the ridership figure that is currently listed doesn't refer to a specific year, neither calendar nor fiscal, but to a "random" time period extending between 2017 and 2018 (in truth, it isn't even an actual year but a 300-day span); it's certainly an odd way to record a system's ridership, and its presence in the list might be questioned, but it seems it's virtually impossible to find a more proper figure for Mumbai Metro and sometimes you just have to take what you can... anyway, this figure could be deleted (after discussing on the article talk page) but it can't, and shouldn't, be displayed as the ridership of FY2017.

If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a reply here (or a message on my talk page). Thank you. Yak79 2.0 (talk) 00:07, 16 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
