May 2020[edit]

Hello, I'm Galendalia. I noticed that in this edit to Amber Agar, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Galendalia Talk to me CVU Graduate 00:37, 25 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Amber Agar. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism can result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 00:42, 25 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, 193.138.218.206. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Amber Agar, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. YOU MAY NOT CONTINUE EDITING THE PAGE UNTIL YOU PROPERLY DECLARE YOUR COI AS A PAID EDITOR Galendalia Talk to me CVU Graduate 01:00, 25 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon This is your only warning; if you remove or blank page contents or templates from Wikipedia again, as you did at Amber Agar, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. --Stay safe, PRAHLADbalaji (M•T•AC) This message was left at 01:05, 25 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Please actually read the notices. If you have a problem with the article, you need to go to Wikipedia:Contact_us/Article_subjects, instead of insulting people. In addition, making legal threats without first attempting to peacefully solve the issue will only cause more complications. Randompointofview (talk) 01:05, 25 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Randompointofview: Are you talking about me or the IP? --Stay safe, PRAHLADbalaji ([[User:@Prahlad balaji:/C|M•T•A]]•C) This message was left at 01:13, 25 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I'm talking about the IP. Randompointofview (talk) 01:15, 25 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet investigation[edit]

An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/193.138.218.206, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

Anonymous users from this IP address have been blocked from editing for a period of 36 hours for disruptive editing.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Nick Moyes (talk) 01:35, 25 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
If this is a shared IP address and you are an uninvolved editor with a registered account, you may continue to edit by logging in.
Administrator feedback to IP: Had you simply gone to the Talk Page at Talk:Amber Agar and politely expressed your concerns over wrong information in an article, you would have been listened to. We would have politely asked you to link to any reliably published sources (not ImDB, as that is user-edited) and shown us what needed changing. Sadly, you decided you owned this article (see WP:OWN) and, by constantly trying to change it without proper supporting material, you have become an utterly disruptive presence here. If you are genuinely her agent, you have done her no service whatsoever, and I have placed a block on your IP address for a while so as to slow down that disruption.
We are always happy to change article titles per WP:COMMON NAME, and sources like this suggest you may have a point, whoever you may be. But that's irrelevant against the disruption your approach has caused. I won't at this time block the newly registered account that I see you've made, but your approach to working with other editors had better change fast, or that will get blocked too if you won't work with us. Because you have now registered an account, I require this IP address not to attempt to make further edits once it's unblocked, and that you stick to your registered account for any editing from hereon in. See also WP:COI and WP:PAID for two important poliices that account will need to read and follow before attempting to edit that article again. Nick Moyes (talk) 01:49, 25 May 2020 (UTC)  [reply]
