Hi. Regarding your recent edits to the Decapitation article, your changes had to be reverted (undone) because the subject of this article is specifically decapitation. The section you rewrote originally dealt with instances of decapitation (beheading) during the Srebrenica massacre, but your rewritten version of the section removed all mention of decapitation and replaced it with a general overview of the massacre itself. Your material might be appropriate for some other article or articles about Srebrenica, war crimes, genocide, etc., but I honestly don't believe it belongs in the article about decapitation. Please don't be discouraged or upset at this; please continue to find ways to improve Wikipedia. — Rich wales 18:15, 1 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I note that you re-did essentially the same changes to this article, even after I posted the above gentle notice. Again, this material does not belong in the Decapitation article: it goes way beyond the subject of this particular article, and perhaps more importantly, you removed material that was directly relevant to decapitation (along with sources for the same) in order to insert your out-of-scope information in its place. It is very important that you do not keep on doing this. So that there will be no question that you have been properly cautioned on this issue, I am including the official user warning box below. If you redo the same (or substantially the same) change at the Decapitation article, replacing the existing description of beheadings during the Srebrenica massacre with a general overview of the massacre and emphasizing the identification of same as genocide or a war crime, you risk being banned from this article, triggering protection of this article so as to prevent its being edited by users who are not logged in with established accounts, or being blocked from editing Wikipedia altogether.

The Arbitration Committee has permitted administrators to impose discretionary sanctions (information on which is at Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee/Discretionary sanctions) on any editor who is active on pages broadly related to the Balkans. Discretionary sanctions can be used against an editor who repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behavior, or any normal editorial process. If you engage in further inappropriate behavior in this area, you may be placed under sanctions, which can include blocks, a revert limitation, or an article ban.
