Overlinking dates[edit]

Please read WP:OVERLINK to get a better understanding of what should and shouldn't be overlinked. All of your edits are inappropriately linking elements of dates, e.g. "(born [[May 30]], [[1972]])". Those links are practically unhelpful and only burden the article with unnecessary things for the reader. Thank you. signed, Willondon (talk) 16:36, 21 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm DerbyCountyinNZ. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Nick Willis have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. October 2023[edit]

Information icon Please do not use styles that are nonstandard, unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in Yevgeny Lukyanenko. There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 03:07, 22 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia. Stop linking elements of dates as in "(born [[May 30]], [[1972]])". It is contrary to the advice at WP:OVERLINK, to the Manual of Style, and is disruptive. You've done it over 30 times since you were first warned about this. signed, Willondon (talk) 15:52, 22 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
