You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for persistent disruptive editing. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Guy (Help!) 13:15, 30 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I don't know if it is appropriate for this administrator to block me as I recently reverted them on the Shaun King talk page. Of all the administrators on Wikipedia to do this, it seems quite strange it would be them. A block until the end of time also seems extremely excessive. I edited two user pages, that's not even against the rules. If you'd like, I will agree not to edit anyones user page. I think I have been very productive editing articles. I greatly improved Clinton Foundation and eToro. I will continue being a productive editor if unblocked. 50m race walk (talk) 13:43, 30 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Having read the discussion on WP:ANI and having watched your behaviour on this talk page, I'm strongly in favour of leaving the block in place for the moment, at least. I can see nothing inappropriate in the block, and much inappropriate in your behaviour here. Yamla (talk) 14:25, 30 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

WP:BRICKS should apply here. A forever block? 50m race walk (talk) 13:49, 30 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Wow, In all my years here I have never come across BRICKS. Yet you find it within days of arriving? FWIW, indefinite does not mean permanent. - Sitush (talk) 13:54, 30 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I guess I'm better at Google than you? I just found it. What does indefinite mean if not permanent? When does my block expire? 50m race walk (talk) 13:58, 30 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Your block does not expire. However, if you address the reasons for you block, and convincingly explain what your mistake was and why you won't repeat it, a reviewing administrator will probably unblock you. Vanamonde (talk) 14:03, 30 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Would like to note that there is a user edit warring with me on my own talk page, and not a single person has told him to stop. This is exactly what I said at the noticeboard. I'm a new user, so nobody cares what he does to me. But I edit someones user page and 10+ people are telling me how bad I screwed up and I get blocked forever for it. 50m race walk (talk) 14:12, 30 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
    • Now a second user is doing the same thing. Even reverting me after I told him not to edit my talk page again, which I have the right to do. And what do we hear? Crickets. Nobody cares what they do to the new user. But here I am blocked forever, for doing something very similar. 50m race walk (talk) 14:26, 30 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
      • For your information: your talk page is NOT a private webspace. And talk page access during a block is not for edit warring or removal of inconvenient text, only and only for discussing your current block. The Banner talk 14:29, 30 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
        • Indeed. These people are discussing your block. It is inappropriate for you to remove their comments. --Yamla (talk) 14:30, 30 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
          • Wow. Not only is there different enforcement for new editors, there are differing rules. If he told me to stop editing his talk page and I edited it again, you'd block me. But here he can do whatever he wants. Makes no difference that I'm blocked, I can remove anything from this page I want other than the block templates. 50m race walk (talk) 14:36, 30 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Indefinite is not forever, though you are doing a good job of making it more likely that it will be so. Frankly, I do not believe that this is your first or only account. Guy (Help!) 07:26, 1 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, your punishment on Wikipedia is determined by how many wiki-friends you have and your past contributions. It is the zeroth unwritten rule of Wikipedia. Now, if you wish to be unblocked, I suggest that you try to understand what you did wrong and lay out you're going to do differently from now on. Here's what you did wrong, based on WP policy. If an uninvolved administrator (JzG) closes a discussion, you shouldn't revert them, and you really, really shouldn't edit war over reversion. See WP:CLOSECHALLENGE for the steps you need to take in this situation. Believe it or not, people were trying to help you in the ANI, as am I. But prickly demeanour gets the same treatment in response. If you're going to act like a bull in a china shop (BLPs and contentious areas are such areas), you'll be dropped on like a ton of bricks. Now, as it happens, I think the indef block is too harsh, but you're not going to get anywhere unless you recognize the situation. Kingsindian   02:10, 1 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
