Problems with upload of File:Talimeren Ao.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Talimeren Ao.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or what the copyright status is. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 05:05, 15 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Talimeran Ao. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. bonadea contributions talk 10:08, 15 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Talimeren Ao.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. bonadea contributions talk 10:19, 15 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome again, and some help

[edit]

Hi 5onofmyfa7her, and once again welcome to Wikipedia. If you want to communicate with other editors, you can write to the article talk page (in this case Talk:Talimeran Ao), or on a user talk page, such as this one, which is the user talk page for your user account.

There are two points I would like to make, and one recommendation.

  • The first point is that every editor needs to be cautious when we edit articles about ourselves, our family members, our companies, or other subjects where we have a conflict of interest. Editing where there is a conflict of interest is not forbidden, but like I said, we have to exercise caution, because most of us would want to describe our relatives in a positive light, which is not compatible with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy. Please take a look at this guideline.
  • The second point is that when we add facts to Wikipedia articles, there must be reliable sources for them. Wikipedia articles depend on verifiability (please click on this link and read the information here.) This means that if your father told you something, your own personal assertion of this knowledge can't be used to verify the fact as far as Wikipedia is concerned. This is the same for everybody in the world. If the Queen of England came to edit Wikipedia, she would not be allowed to add facts about her father to the article about him unless those facts were published in reliable sources.
  • Finally a recommendation: please take a look at the information linked in the blue table above - and if you want to get some help with editing you can ask the friendly and helpful crowd at the Teahouse. Just click the blue "Ask a question" button on this page and type in your question. Happy editing! --bonadea contributions talk 12:05, 17 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Talimeran Ao

[edit]

Hello, 5onofmyfa7her. Your edits to Talimeran Ao have been repeatedly reverted (by myself and others) because your preferred spelling breaks several links on the page (most notably to the image), and because it does not agree with the title of the article. A web search shows that both spellings are common; if you have reason to believe that "Talimeren" is better then please start a move request. —Psychonaut (talk) 07:56, 11 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I note you are continuing to change the spellings in the article, and continuing to break the image links. Please stop this and instead discuss the matter on the article's talk page. There are now three attested spellings (Talimeren Ao, Talimeren Aao, and Talimeran Ao), at least two of which seem to have official status somewhere, so it's important that we discuss this to determine which one to adopt as the primary spelling for use in the article text and title. —Psychonaut (talk) 09:07, 12 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Talimeran Ao. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.Psychonaut (talk) 14:30, 12 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Image without license

[edit]

Unspecified source/license for File:Talimeren Ao.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Talimeren Ao.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 04:45, 12 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Notice of Edit warring noticeboard discussion

[edit]

Information icon Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. Thank you. —Psychonaut (talk) 14:43, 12 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

June 2014

[edit]

Please stop your disruptive editing, as you did at Talimeran Ao. Your edits have been reverted or removed.

Do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively may result in your being blocked from editing. Shovon (talk) 06:51, 13 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring at Talimeran Ao

[edit]
Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 72 hours for edit warring, as you did at Talimeran Ao. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.

The full report of this case is at WP:AN3#User:5onofmyfa7her reported by User:Psychonaut (Result: 72 hours). You can be unblocked if you will agree to follow the consensus on the spelling of Talimeran Ao. If you are determined to have it your way, you will probably have to give up editing Wikipedia. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 04:47, 14 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
