Hello. A few requests: (1) Please leave meaningful edit summaries when you edit Wikipedia. Simply restating the title of the article is not a meaningful explanation of what you have changed, or why. (2) Please do not create links to disambiguation pages (like, for example, New York). There is a tool under Special:Preferences, under the Gadgets tab ("Appearance" section) that allows you to highlight disambiguation pages in orange, so that you can avoid creating such links unintentionally. (3) Please do not replace a link to a specific topic, like Bronx, New York, with a link to a less specific topic, like New York (state). --R'n'B (call me Russ) 13:32, 2 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Thomas Haden Church; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Binksternet (talk) 14:56, 2 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Anonymous users from this IP address have been blocked from editing for a period of 2 weeks for edit warring.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  ~ ToBeFree (talk) 19:49, 2 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Since you did not respond to any of the messages left here by multiple users and you did not modify your behavior, there really was no other alternative but to block you. If you come back in two weeks and resume the same behaviors, you will be blocked for a much longer time. I would encourage to engage with the rest of the editing community, not ignore us. --R'n'B (call me Russ) 20:31, 2 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
