You are welcome to continue editing without logging in. If you like, you can create an account. Doing so is free, requires no personal information, and provides several benefits, such as the ability to create articles. For a full outline and explanation of the benefits that come with creating an account, please see this page. If you edit without a username, your IP address (75.118.14.168) is used to identify you instead.

In any case, I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your IP address (or username if you're logged in) and the date. Information icon Hello, I'm Jsharpminor. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Nelson-class battleship—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. How is my edit not constructive? The original link says NOTHING about cherry trees, while my new link explains the anecdote for those who may not be familiar with it. That is the point of wikilinks, to provide clarity. Go back and look again and then re-revert the link to my edit. 75.118.14.168 (talk) 13:11, 14 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Punctuation inside quotes

[edit]

You're probably not aware of this, but Wikipedia uses logical quotations, which means that, this in most cases, punctuation goes outside of quotes. Please stop placing punctuation inside quotes. Thanks. BilCat (talk) 23:00, 25 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in How Long's a Tear Take to Dry?, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. See MOS:THEBAND. Also, "the" is not a noun. It's an adjective.
