August 2020[edit]

Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that in this edit to Diyarbakır, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 19:42, 1 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to List of European countries by area, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. You also made several changes to area figures and rankings without citing a reliable source. Please be sure your contributions conform to the core content policies, thank you. Information icon Hello, I'm IamNotU. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Christianity by country, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. In this edit: [1], you changed population figures so that they no longer corresponded to the correct figures given in the cited sources. Please see WP:HIJACK. Any statistics must be verifiable in a published source; it is not acceptable to make changes that contradict a source, based on your own estimates. If there is a new source that verifies updated figures, then the source must be cited, it is not acceptable to simply leave the old source and change the numbers. It looks like you have made similar edits before. Please note that continuing to make unsourced changes that contradict existing sources may lead to restrictions on your editing privileges. Thank you. IamNotU (talk) 13:48, 3 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Location maps[edit]

When you add a location map to an article like you did to the Nur-Sultan article, please make sure that the location being described is actually on the map. In that particular case, the Caspian Sea is too far away from it, so it looked like a map with no mark on it. Jackmcbarn (talk) 00:32, 4 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did with this edit to Turkey–United States relations. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Materialscientist (talk) 12:29, 5 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Pendik. Materialscientist (talk) 10:57, 6 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm IamNotU. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to World Happiness Report have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse. In this edit (previous to your current block): [2], you swapped the places of Turkey and Mauritius, contradicting the cited sources. This appears to meet Wikipedia's definition of vandalism, in that you knowingly falsified information. Please note that further vandalism may lead to further blocks. Thank you.
