Welcome!
[edit]Hello! I noticed your contributions and wanted to welcome you to the Wikipedia community. I hope you like it here and decide to stay. You are welcome to edit anonymously; however, creating an account is free and has several benefits (for example, the ability to create pages, upload media and edit without one's IP address being visible to the public).
As you get started, you may find this short tutorial helpful:

Don't duplicate citations
[edit]Hello. Don't duplicate the bibliographic information for citations from the same source, like your edit Special:Diff/1055967195 in Endonym and exonym. They are concentrated to one place for a reason: better maintainability. When the bibliographic information needs to be revised, updating a single point will do all. See Wikipedia:Citing sources#Duplicate citations, which instructs to combine duplicates. --Wotheina (talk) 01:49, 19 November 2021 (UTC)
Edit Summary
[edit]Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits a summary may be quite brief.
Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Nauseous Man (talk) 18:19, 29 November 2021 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. In particular, MOS:LQUOTE advises that punctuation goes outside of quotes, not inside as you may have learned in school or seen in other publications. DMacks (talk) 06:09, 18 December 2021 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm 64andtim. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Scott Rogowsky have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. 64andtim (chat) 00:19, 6 July 2023 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
