July 2015[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Smoothest Aashu has been reverted.
Your edit here to Smoothest Aashu was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.facebook.com/smoothestaashu007, https://www.facebook.com/smoothestaashu007) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Information icon Hello, I'm XLinkBot. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to the page Smoothest Aashu, because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links.

Information icon Please do not write or add to an article about yourself, as you apparently did at Smoothest Aashu. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Smoothest Aashu requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Conflict of Interest[edit]

Hi there, Aashua. I saw you attempted to create an article about yourself. Please be aware that Wikipedia is not a place for self-promotion, it is not social media, and writing an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. That being, also know that subjects of articles must meet Wikipedia's standard for having an article. There's other standards for musicians too, see WP:MUSICBIO. If someone were to make an article about you, you'd want to make sure it meets these sorts of standards. The article was deleted because no indication was given that the article did this. Sergecross73 msg me 18:07, 28 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have restored the article to the "rough draft space" - the article is not ready for public viewing. Articles need to be written entirely based off of what reliable, third party sources say. I looked for an example, but quite honestly, could not find one. (A list of commonly useable ones can be found at WP:MUSIC/SOURCES. So, you can continue to work on your rough draft, but it may not be put into the main article space until:
  • It meets the WP:GNG - many third party sources are present, discussing you in significant detail.
  • And/or you meet some of the criteria found at WP:MUSICBIO - such as having a single that charts on a respective country's major music charts.
If you attempt to move the article out of the rough draft space without meeting the bullet-points above, then it will be deleted again.
Your article can be found at Draft: Smoothest Aashu. Sergecross73 msg me 15:40, 29 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
