Mass BOT-like deletions of material with no edit summary and edit marked "minor" appear harmful[edit]
There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The thread is New_Account_Using_AWB_to_Remove_Links_to_archive.is_based_.22the_RFC.22. Thank you.
- The above is a standard notification template. Your behavior appears similar to that of several apparent bots, and the discussion I linked concerns that. You should at least, as stated in the summary of the RFC, "please be sure to make very clear A) why the community made this decision and B) what alternatives are available to them to deal with rotlink. Ideally someone would create a page explaining the situation and options and link to it in the edit summaries..." It does not seem to me that an empty edit summary and an edit marked as "minor" qualifies as meeting this suggestion. As it is I notice that your changes have been reverted - I would have reverted them a few of them myself, had I not thought to go searching for discussion of archive.is in WP-space.
