There are a couple of issues here:

First, are you Ali Zafar himself? If so, Wikipedia discourages people from writing or editing articles about themselves - see WP:AUTO. If not, you need to change your username, as we don't allow people to use the real names of famous living people unless they are that person.

Second, I think Ali Zafar should have an article. Unfortunately, the article was deleted twice because it was a copyright violation, which we can't accept on Wikipedia - all text must be original or in the public domain. Then the first version you created was deleted, because it didn't assert why Ali Zafar was notable. As for the second version, to be honest, it shouldn't have been deleted without discussion. However, after three previous deletions, the fact that the name of the article was the same as the creator (see above) and the lack of sources for the article, I can understand why it happened.

The main problem with the last version of the article was that it lacked any verification - people have to know that Wikipedia articles are true, so they need to cite reliable sources.

I'm willing to have a go at writing an article myself that meets Wikipedia standards and could be used to overturn the deletion. You can help me by telling me where you got all the information you wrote about Ali Zafar, because then those sources could be used to back up the article - I have access to Google and Factiva, but I don't have access to many Pakistani magazines, for example. --Sam Blanning(talk) 15:15, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
