[edit]Hello, I'm Robvanvee. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, God Hates Us All, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please note: if you are adding a genre & source to an album article, your source needs to reference the album and not a song from the album. Robvanvee 09:50, 13 May 2020 (UTC)
Please, just read genre warrior
[edit]Please read WP:GWAR, specifically WP:EXPLICITGENRES. You might want to consider adding your source with the proposed changes to the genre, on the article's talk page. Walter Görlitz (talk) 04:16, 16 June 2020 (UTC)
- And WP:RS. If in doubt, request that your source be reviewed at WP:RSN or Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Albums. Something like this:
- Is http://thenewfury.com/down-again-chimaira-expand-and-evolve-on-the-impossibility-of-reason/ a reliable source to support adding "groove metal" to the article, The Impossibility of Reason?
- I don't think you really grasp this concept either. Walter Görlitz (talk) 04:21, 16 June 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add or change content, as you did at The Impossibility of Reason, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. How did you come to the conclusion that metalmusicarchives.com is a reliable source? What about it gives you that impression? Walter Görlitz (talk) 17:08, 16 June 2020 (UTC)
- Is the reviewer of the sources you cited, CHIMAIRA, is a band and not an expert in genres.
- The site's about page makes it seem as though genres are crowd-sourced when it uses the phrase, "contributors of the site" when it discusses how the genres are classified.
- And to place it before Johnny Loftus' AllMusic opinion is problematic as well.
- Since you're having problems understanding this concept, I strongly advise you to add your source and proposed genre to the article's talk page rather than adding it to the article directly. Walter Görlitz (talk) 17:16, 16 June 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Groove metal, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Throwdown. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

[edit]Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to change genres without discussion or sources, as you did at Scorpio Rising (Prong album), you may be blocked from editing. Robvanvee 11:16, 26 August 2020 (UTC)
