Mapframe maps for Quebec

I noticed you added an interactive map for Quebec Autoroute 13 and I'm wondering if you can do the same for other Quebec autoroutes. Many of those maps are outdated and too zoomed out so I think interactive maps would be good replacements for them. If you can, that would be great. Editor of the Week

Editor of the Week
Your ongoing efforts to improve the encyclopedia have not gone unnoticed: You have been selected as Editor of the Week in recognition of your great contributions! (courtesy of the Wikipedia Editor Retention Project)

User:John M Wolfson submitted the following nomination for Editor of the Week:

I nominate AlphaBeta135 to be Editor of the Week for providing Commons maps for not only the hundreds of articles on stations and operations of the Chicago "L" (such as here, here, and here, among hundreds others), but also converting maps to better formats on Interstate and U.S. Route articles in Illinois (such as here) and adding commons categories where needed (example). They have improved the standard of coverage for such articles in incremental but impactful ways, and inspired editors such as myself to take more initiative in mapping out stations and other landmarks.

You can copy the following text to your user page to display a user box proclaiming your selection as Editor of the Week:

Whopper lyrics removed

As much as I thought it was funny you quoted the Whopper song, the extensive amount of copypasta was a potential copyvio and so I removed it. Wikipedia:Copyright violations still applies on April Fool's Day, I know this was intended as a good joke but yeah the amount of quoted lyrics is too far. Secondary vendor for AfD vote

A few quick questions. If there are two vendors, how will the tally work? How will the votes be counted? Wouldn't having two vendors be confusing?

Unless, does your form have a different purpose from the AfD vote? Diriector_Doc├─────┤TalkContribs 22:43, 1 April 2023 (UTC)

@Diriector Doc I didn't create either of these two surveys. There just happens to be two on WP:APRIL2023 AlphaBeta135talk 22:45, 1 April 2023 (UTC)

Wisconsin Highway 311 moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to Wisconsin Highway 311. Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because it needs more sources to establish notability. Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Reading Beans (talk) 05:33, 5 April 2023 (UTC)

I did about 30 seconds of searching and found several news items to create a history section, so with that addition, the draft has been moved back. Imzadi 1979  23:28, 5 April 2023 (UTC)

Could you please help update the track diagrams for Berwyn and Lawrence?

Thanks for helping update the track diagrams for Argyle and Bryn Mawr. Could you also please update the track diagrams for Berwyn and Lawrence if you have the time? I'm updating the text of the articles but am not super proficient in the whole BSIcon thing so it would take me literal hours to get those diagrams updated.Jvvg-jacob-x (talk) 01:24, 3 August 2023 (UTC)

Hello, AlphaBeta135,

I just came across your essay when it was linked from a BFDI-related draft page. It is quite impressive! It's interesting that there are a lot of contributions to it by IP editors and the catalog of every deletion of a BFDI-related article or draft is informative, to see how frequently these articles have been created. I really didn't know the whole story of why BFDI articles are always sent to AFD so I appreciate the complete backstory. Thanks for putting it together. Liz Read! Talk! 03:10, 4 August 2023 (UTC)

Metra station diagrams

Hello, I have noticed that you started adding RDTs to certain Metra station pages. I tried making some a few months ago but eventually burned out and kind of "forgot" about them. But I wanted to mention two things.

1. One of the station diagrams I did complete was Jefferson Park. I did get the scale wrong (all of the diagrams are much too large,) but I hope they are helpful anyway. Feel free to have a look in my sandbox to assist with completing that with existing icons.

2. I have noticed that most of the work you have finished involves the BNSF Line. I personally believe that the diagrams should be flipped around. The RDT MOS does say that westbound lines should have west at the top, but considering the southwesterly direction the route takes (and that the MOS allows the contrary in such a case,) I would like to start flipping the existing ones around. My sandbox features Cicero, Congress Park, and Aurora.

You are welcome to take my observations with a grain of salt, but I do hope you consider them and allow me to change the BNSF Line diagrams. Thanks for reading! Hotdog with ketchup (talk) 21:39, 3 September 2023 (UTC)

Data files on commons

Hello AlphaBeta, I hope you're doing great! I want to seek help from you regarding files on the Data: namespace in Commons, like this one c:Data:M25 motorway.map. I want to ask if you can teach me how to create a file like this for Nigerian highways like A2 highway (Nigeria), A3 highway (Nigeria), etc. I would really love to know how to do this systematically instead of using static photos. If there is a guide somewhere, or if I can get a direct help from you, teaching me how to, any of them. I would greatly appreciate it. Many thanks in anticipation. Regards! Vanderwaalforces (talk) 13:02, 28 September 2023 (UTC)

@Vanderwaalforces You can use vendors like geojson.io to create interactive maps. AlphaBeta135talk 14:27, 28 September 2023 (UTC)
Okay, I will try that out and see if it works or rather, I succeed. Many thanks AlphaBeta. Vanderwaalforces (talk) 15:12, 28 September 2023 (UTC)
Yay, look at c:Data:A2 highway.map, I did it :) Thank you so much for the help. Vanderwaalforces (talk) 16:34, 28 September 2023 (UTC)

Happy Holidays

Peace is a state of balance and understanding in yourself and between others, where respect is gained by the acceptance of differences, tolerance persists, conflicts are resolved through dialog, people's rights are respected and their voices are heard, and everyone is at their highest point of serenity without social tension. Happy Holidays to you and yours. ―Buster7

Metra 2024 Fare Plan

@AlphaBeta135: I see you are working on an RDT with updated fare zones. Just wanted to let you know that I have done so too and it is nearly complete. See Template:Metra System/sandbox for the diagram. Hotdog with ketchup (talk) 03:25, 22 December 2023 (UTC)
