Disputed fair use rationale for Image:StemmonsJan2006-2.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:StemmonsJan2006-2.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 06:33, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
Image source problem with Image:DSCN7334.JPG
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:DSCN7334.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 07:51, 13 June 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Svens Welt (talk) 07:51, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
NowCommons: File:DSCN0955.JPG
[edit]File:DSCN0955.JPG is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:File:Highland Park, Texas.JPG. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. You can embed an image uploaded to Commons like you would an image uploaded to Wikipedia, in this case: [[File:Highland Park, Texas.JPG]]. License tagging for File:IMG 3294aa.JPG
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:IMG 3294aa.JPG. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 04:05, 20 June 2011 (UTC)

Images copied from on line sites
[edit]You've recently uploaded several photos, all from various personal websites, claiming that they're your own work - many are from the site of someone named "jensen"; others from a posting in a message board by someone named "hayward". Neither name is close to your user name and while that's not definitive by any means, it presents the distinct possibility that you are uploading other peoples' work and claiming it as your own. Can you clear this up, please, and soon? I've started requesting speedy deletion of the files but it's a bit of a chore to be honest and so if Asem27 is the same person as Lars Jensen *and* "hayward" then say so. Otherwise I'll proceed to seek deletion of the rest.
In the meantime I am going to revert your changes adding them to various articles here to make cleanup easier when (as I suspect) the photos are removed.
My apologies if I've mis-evaluated the situation. But you really do need to be crystal clear about these things. Thanks. JohnInDC (talk) 11:10, 23 June 2011 (UTC)
- Having now seen that your uploads were also taken from towerplaza.com - whom I'm confident isn't you - I'm going to assume you're also not Lars Jensen and will be requesting speedy deletion of those files too. If I'm wrong you can always have them restored. Thanks. JohnInDC (talk) 12:24, 23 June 2011 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The file File:Highland Park Village.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
orphaned image, no encyclopedic use
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
Also:
This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:02, 19 April 2020 (UTC)
