Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority is a new Greek Independent Authority and we try to make a first reference in Wikipedia. Hcaa2022 (talk) 10:10, 16 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I understand that's what you're trying to do, but your article still needs to comply with the rules, in this case notability. Please see WP:GNG for advice on how to demonstrate notability.
Secondly, it seems you represent HCAA, therefore you need to make a formal declaration of conflict of interest (COI), and also most likely declaration of paid editing. I have posted below a message to help you do this. Please note that both COI and paid editing must be declared, where they apply.
Thirdly, when you say 'we try to make', this suggests that your account is shared between multiple individuals, which is against the Wikipedia policy. I will post another message below to help you comply with this policy, and change your user name if necessary.

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Hcaa2022. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:12, 16 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I am the head of IT department of the HCAA. So I do not understand why we cannot make a first reference to out organization which is an new one, as I mentioned, and its mission has to do with civil aviation issues. Hcaa2022 (talk) 10:17, 16 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not quite sure what your argument is about.
You can create an article on your organisation (not directly, it has to go through the AfC review process first), but you must first declare your COI and paid editing status formally, otherwise you are contravening Wikipedia policy. This is not a matter for debate; based on what you say, you clearly have a COI and (undeclared) paid editing, so please just attend to these matters before you find yourself sanctioned.
Whereas if you're trying to argue that you should be allowed to create an article without citing any sources other than your own organisation, then I'm afraid this simply won't be possible. Wikipedia is never the first to publish something; we only summarise what other reliable sources have already published. If you cannot find independent and reliable secondary sources who have of their own volition covered your organisation in published media, then you will not be able to create this article. (I already tried signposting you to the relevant guidance, but I'll repeat that here just in case: please see WP:GNG.) -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:46, 16 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

June 2022[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Hcaa2022", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it implies shared use. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:17, 16 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

HCAA is from Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority and 2022 is the year, this year, of the beginning of the Authority Hcaa2022 (talk) 10:19, 16 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, club, organization, company, or website – I have blocked this account. Please take a moment to either create a new account, or request a change of username of your current account here. The new username must represent only yourself as an individual and comply with Wikipedia's username policy.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose. Additionally, if your contributions to Wikipedia form all or part of work for which you are, or expect to be, paid, you must disclose who is paying you to edit.

Please also note that you are permitted to use a username that contains the name of a company or organization if it identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text

{{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}

at the bottom of your talk page. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names.

 Thank you. Cabayi (talk) 11:01, 16 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

HCAA2022 it is fine. It include our acronym and our starting year. Thank you very much. Hcaa2022 (talk) 11:04, 16 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
No, HCAA2022 is NOT fine. Hcaa2022 is NOT fine. Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority is NOT fine. This is YOUR account, not the HCAA's. Read the policy links you've been given above. Cabayi (talk) 11:08, 16 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
In your zeal to promote the HCAA on Wikipedia I feel you may have misunderstood the rights you've signed away for the organisation's logo. Cabayi (talk) 11:30, 16 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
According to a new Greek Law it has been established a new Authority, which has the name "Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority" (more details we can find in our website hcaa.gov.gr).
This new authority has taken a big part of responsibilities from the old Authority "Hellenic Aviation Service Provider" (HASP - https://hcaa.gr) which unfortunately has already used the name "Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority" and the acronym HCAA. I understand that this is a problem, but this is now the situation as you can see also in https://hcaa.gov.gr/en/armodiotites. Hcaa2022 (talk) 11:47, 16 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yet again you're missing the point. This user account is **yours**, not the authority's. Wikipedia's policy does not allow usernames which represent organisations. Usernames which represent roles within organisations are also not allowed. Cabayi (talk) 11:53, 16 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Then who is the responsible for "https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hellenic_Civil_Aviation_Authority"? Hcaa2022 (talk) 11:55, 16 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Nobody is 'responsible', as in there is no one editor who 'owns' that article. Everyone who contributes to it is responsible for their edits complying with the various policies and guidelines. (Which clearly hasn't been very well done, given the sourcing on it, but that's a separate matter.)
Look, we are trying to help you, but you're making it harder that it should be. Please start by changing your user name, so that you can (hopefully) be unblocked; otherwise you cannot do anything here.
Next, formally declare your COI and paid editing status, so that you don't fall foul of those rules. After that — and only after that — we can talk about the notability and referencing issues in your draft. Best, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 12:01, 16 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
(edit conflict) What DoubleGrazing said. The relevant policies & guidelines are WP:OWN, WP:PAID & m:TOU. The strapline on the front page "the free encyclopedia that anyone can edit" is also worth noting. Cabayi (talk) 12:07, 16 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I have request change of my name Hcaa2022 (talk) 12:28, 16 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Your account has been renamed and unblocked. Cabayi (talk) 12:37, 16 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:Hcaa2022/sandbox requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://hcaa.gov.gr/en/apostoli. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.

Your latest text in this page has made it clear to me that APA is just a transliteration of the HCAA's acronym in Greek, ΑΠΑ. As the username still represents the organisation rather than you I have been compelled to block it again. Cabayi (talk) 14:55, 16 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

A recap of the last few days...

I then noticed that Apa is merely a transliteration of the HCAA's acronym in Greek, ΑΠΑ, and reimposed the soft block.

You have been repeatedly asked to choose a username which represents you, not the organisation, and failed to do so on four occasions. As you obviously have no intention of any activity other than promoting your employer without regard to conflict of interest policy, username policy, or copyright policy I am left with no option but to convert your block to a hard block. Cabayi (talk) 09:21, 18 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of username and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Cabayi (talk) 09:24, 18 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
