Information icon Hello, I'm JohnBlackburne. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions to Blender (software) because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Hello, could you please explain how you came to the conclusion that they are promotional because on the same page I found e.g. this image https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blender_(software)#/media/File:Tos-poster.png which even states that it is promotional but nobody deleted that?

The movie Tears of Steel is of particular importance in the Blender project — the making of the movie was associated with the software project itself. The media you added is merely "made with" Blender. It also happens to display prominently the logo of your project. Please read Wikipedia’s policy on conflicts of interest. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask them here. Thank you. Ariadacapo (talk) 10:52, 20 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

And, what about the second image (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Physics-Fluid-Simulation-Blender.gif), it didnt show logo of my project but physics fluid simulation done with Blender?

This file looks ok to me. I can’t really say whether it adds value to the article. If you think it does, you may try inserting it back. Please describe your changes in the edit summary box, and, if your changes are reverted, discuss them on the article talk page. Happy editing! Ariadacapo (talk) 06:04, 21 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading File:FetchCFD Logo.png. However, it is currently missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Vladlen Manilov / 12:28, 7 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
