November 2021[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Robvanvee. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, List of psychedelic rock artists, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Robvanvee 21:00, 9 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I noticed you started the article UFO sightings in Albania, but you did not include adequate citations to reliable sources. There are several unreferenced sections. Please amend this. You can find guidance at Referencing for beginners or by asking for help at the Teahouse. Thank you! Wracking 💬 05:33, 8 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, some of the sources ive added have information on the other sections that are uncited. Should i add the same source on the sections where it applies? BBB2021 (talk) 12:31, 8 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, everything should be cited. At the very least, every paragraph should have a citation. If more than one source is used for a paragraph, cite which sentences come from which sources. You can (and should) use the same citation more than once! You can find advice for that at Help:VisualEditor#Re-using an existing reference. Wracking 💬 17:00, 8 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Got it. Thank you very much :) BBB2021 (talk) 22:37, 8 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm checking out some of the recent additions that you've made to the List of reported UFO sightings article. I've made some changes and put a brief note in my edit summary. I noticed that your account is new, so I also wanted to reach out in person to offer explanations and invite you to ask any questions:

  • The changes to the links now point to specific sections in the UFO sightings in Albania article using section anchors. See WP:ANCHOR for an explanation.
  • I've added an additional reference to the 1907 Mihal Grameno section. The standard for inclusion in some lists is the same notability standard for a general Wikipedia article. This is true for the main UFO lists (but I think not any of the sublists) because the number of UFO sightings is so great.
  • Titles of books are always in italics. (MOS:TITLE)
  • There are many ways to handle dates in a list. For a list with all-numeric dates, the Manual of Style recommends YYYY-MM-DD, YYYY if the day is uncertain, or the {{circa}} template if the year is uncertain. (MOS:DATE)
  • I copyedited the 1990 incident to make it more verifiable and according to the source. I'm relying on machine translation, so if I got something wrong, that is my bad and you're welcome to correct it.

Feel free to ask questions, if any of that is confusing. I thought it would respectful to offer a more thorough explanation so it wouldn't seem as if the changes were arbitrary. And thanks for contributing, Rjjiii (talk) 06:18, 14 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I think you did a great job. Thank you very much! BBB2021 (talk) 08:41, 15 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

UFO sightings in Albania quote source[edit]

Hey there. I noticed that in the article UFO sightings in Albania you mentioned the following quote: "One night, while the fighters of Çerçiz were stationed at the top of a high mountain, a shiny object flew in front of us, stood suspended in the air for several minutes, and then disappeared". You cited "The Albanian Uprising" as the source, however I've read the book and the quote is not there. I'm wondering if there is another source that you got the quote from. Thank you in advance. EntuziastUFOSH (talk) 03:22, 22 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You can check the Albanian version of the article and some of the sources also overlap each other. If you check the references tab almost all of Albanian journals and news sites that report UFO sightings report that case. BBB2021 (talk) 09:27, 22 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I've read the sources and they're all newer than the wiki article. I'm just trying to make sure it's not a case of circular reporting, where the articles have taken the info from the wikipedia page and then the wiki cites those articles as sources. I'll send you the book too if you want to check for yourself. All the best. EntuziastUFOSH (talk) 17:40, 22 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
