New article
[edit]Hello, and congratulations for creating a new article, Ali Haider Tabatabai. welcome to the club of article creators! I fixed the article up a little bit, and it seems he is quite notable, though its hard to find references. please add print references if you have them, such as the reference given at the List of Shi'a Muslims. i noticed your article, as you had added content to the List of Shi'a Muslims, which i was advocating for and watching. thanks for helping that article. i removed one of your edits, on Benazir Bhutto's entry there, as it was unsourced and not in agreement with her main article. i myself dont really know her well enough to even begin to search for accurate references, but i would encourage you to join her talk page with any sourced information you can provide. I hope you appreciate my efforts to improve the article you created, and take my edits as constructive. please feel free to write me with any concerns you have.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 02:39, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
Thankyou and I am not really an article creator I would suggest that you trim and put in order what I write, I wrote this just because I knew Ali Haider Tabatabai since he was my great granfather (my mother's grandfather). My expertese is limited, I have a picture of Nazm Tabatabai in my personal collection and it was deleted for reason I had taken it from internet they told me a lengthy process to verify it I couldn't, as I am not that good a computer wizard.
You can get more information about him from India as he is a subject for PHd, (any one wishing to do PHd in Urdu he might have to do his research on Nazm Tabatabai. Couple of years back a lady probably Education Secretary of perhaps Orissa or Federal Government of India had done her PHd research on Nazm Tabatabai, or you may get information from Usmania University. I have just edited Qazilbash article not because I am a historian but being a Qazilbash myself I knew this much. One thing is missing in this article but since I can not verify it but Qazilbash are mainly descendants of Hulegu Khan.
File source problem with File:Nazm Tabatabai.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Nazm Tabatabai.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 05:23, 10 October 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 05:23, 10 October 2009 (UTC)
== Help me ==
I have donated a jpg image (Nazm Tabatabai.jpg) from my personal collection and it says it will be deleted in 7 days, there is no controversy, it belongs to me how can that be stopped.
- It has been temporarily restored; the only way this image will not be re-deleted is if you supply a source and Image copyright tag on the image description page- just go to the page, click "edit" - then in the editing field state the source and put the correct image template such as {{PD-old-50}} (just an example to show the format). Please know that some might question, "the image is my property" without a detailed explanation of this, especially as it appears that the image is a scan/photo from a printed source. Late response
[edit]Im sorry i havent acknowledged your response to my welcome until now. i understand if you are new: you added your reply to a relatively obscure IP address of mine, and i didnt catch it. i want to read your reply thoroughly before responding, but i want to at least acknowledge that i did, finally, get your comment and am not ignoring you. sincerely, Mercurywoodrose (talk) 02:40, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
I am unable to find the image it's not there, shall I upload it again, yes it's a scanned image from a very old collection. Thanks Baabi99
The article Khizer has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- mistitled, poorly written, incorrectly wikilinked, needs major work, probably easier to start over. There is a "Hazrat Khizar" in Islamic teachings but I can't find much in the way of reliable English-language information outside of the Koran, which I'm too unfamiliar with to use authoritatively. I'm going to refer this to WikiProject Islam to see if anyone wants to do the subject justice.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
I am asking experts in Islam to look at it and see if they can improve it so it can stay in the Encyclopedia. See Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Islam#Khizer. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 21:41, 25 November 2009 (UTC)
Yes you are right the Topic is already covered under a name spelled differently, and if you right Khizer it goes to some cricketer, perhaps you would be able to create a redirect link for any body looking for this Khizer. Please do delete it, I will be obliged.
